Four people have died in separate road accidents in Ashulia of Savar. Two cow traders in a pick-up van died after it crashed into a truck in the early hours of Wednesday. Meanwhile, an unidentified cyclist was run over by a truck on the Baipail-Abdullahpur road. Another man died near Baroi Para after a bus overturned. Highway Police Inspector Mahbubur Rahman said a van and a truck had collided on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway around 4am on Wednesday, killing both cow traders in the van. Those dead are Shafiqul Islam, 35, and ‘Abbas’, 38. The truck driver ‘Lutfor’ had been taken to a hospital, he said. Earlier, in the wee hours of Wednesday, a truck on the Baipail-Abdullahpur road ran over a bicycle killing the rider on the spot, said Ashulia Police Station OC Mostafa Kamal.
