4 dead among 19 people sued over K’chhari clash

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Thursday filed a case against 19 people including the four deceased who were killed in a clash between BGB members and villagers in Matiranga upazila.
Ishak Ali, Habildar of BGB battalion 40, filed the case with Matiranga Police Station at 11 am naming 19 people and unnamed 60/70 others.
Inspector General of Police Dr Mohammad Jabed Patwary said the perpetrators will be brought to the justice through proper investigation no matter which party filed the case.
He said this while addressing a programme after inauguration of Police Officers’ Mess here.
On Wednesday, the bodies of four people, including three of a family-Sahab Mia, 58, and his two sons Ali Akbar, 28, and Ahmed Ali, 22, of Battola area and Mofiz Mia, 50, who succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital, were handed over to their families.
