A four-day Parbatya Mela-2019 (Hilly Fair) will begin at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital today. The Chattagram Hill Tracts Affairs Ministry with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is going to arrange the fair aiming to introduce the lifestyle, culture, tradition and history of the hill dwellers among the people living in plain land, a PID handout said.
Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzaque will inaugurate the fair as the chief guest at 3 pm today while Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing will be present.
