The 20th national conference and 38th council of Institute of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) will be held in the city from April 22 to 25. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the event at Kakrail IDEB Bhaban at 10.30 am on April 23, said a press release.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Skill-based education for prosperity of life-livelihood.’
The conference will be divided into 17 sessions, including two seminars, two technical sessions and a meeting of SAARC Diploma Engineers Forum.
Besides 5,000 IDEB members from across the country, diploma engineers from SAARC and Middle East regions will attend the conference.
