4-Day BIID expo, dialogue to begin in city Mar 1

The 9th International Bangladesh Infrastructure Innovation and Development (BIID) Expo and Dialogue-2018 will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the city from March 1 to 4.
“The ExpoNet Exhibition in collaboration with Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA) and Power Cell of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry will organize the expo attracting development of green industries and raising awareness on issues of environment protection, technology and innovation stakeholders,” SREDA Chairman Md Helal Uddin said addressing a press conference at its office in the city on Sunday.
The four-day 9th edition of the BIID Expo and Dialogue-2018 is going to be held in the city bridging relationship between the Government to Government (G2G), Government to Commercial (G2C) and Commercial to Commercial (C2C) in order to find out what is new and working, he added.
It also will promote energy efficiency and conservation at industrial, residential and household levels leading to a strong economic infrastructure, the SREDA chairman said.
“We organize networking exhibition and trade dialogue to uphold cross border new business horizon. Our mission is to achieve success written in ‘Vision 2021’ and reach the milestones of ‘Vision 2041,” he said, adding that Bangladesh has already become the second-best investment destination among the South Asian countries.

He also said SREDA, Power Cell and ExpoNet Exhibition jointly announced an awareness award titled ‘BIID Awards on Green Initiative’ to alleviate Green Trade practices within the industry.
During the four-day expo and dialogue, a big number of international experts, government high officials, local businessmen and specialists, including 60 highly reputed speakers will exchange their knowledge on eco-industry in different sessions, the SREDA chairman said.
Addressing the press conference, ExpoNet Exhibition Managing Director Rashedul Haque said 90 global leading companies from 14 countries, including Bangladesh, will showcase their energy efficient and innovative industrial technology in the expo.
SREDA Member Siddique Zobayer, Power Cell Director Sk Munir Ahmed, Principal Advisor and Brand Ambassador of BIID-2018 Dilder Ahmed Taufiq, BIFFL Executive Director and CEO SM Farmanul Islam, Country Director of SR Asia Bangladesh Sumaya Rashid and Fire and Security Association of India (FSAI) Chapter Coordinator Sanjeevani Vyas spoke in the conference.
