4-day BGB- BSF high level confce begins in Jashore

A four -day high official level coordination conference of the Border Guard Bangladesh and the Indian Border Security Force was kicked at Hotel Zabeer International on Sunday noon. The conference will be continued till 20th February, said Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Zunayid Alam Khan, director, operation, south-west region, Border Guard Bangladesh.
Abu Taher Muhammad Ibrahim, Additional Director of the BGB and also regional commander, north- west region is leading a 15- member delegate on behalf of Bangladesh while Sh Yagesh Bahadur Khurania, inspector general of the BSF, South Bengal Frontier is leading a 11-member delegate from the Indian side.
The conference also attended by south – west regional commander of the BGB, sector commanders, representatives of the BGB headquarters, foreign and home ministries and department of narcotics control for Bangladesh and IGs of North Bengal and Gohati frontiers, sector level staffs and representatives of Indian foreign ministry and narcotics control department of India, the BGB official told Newsmen.
The conference will be discussed about smugglings of drug, arms and ammunitions, killings of innocent Bangladeshis, arrest of Bangladeshis, illegal tress passing, making of fence along frontiers and various bilateral issues, said a press release issued by Ahmed Zunayid Alam Khan, director, operation, south-west region, BGB.
