Four cops, including a sub-inspector, of Bandar Police Station in the district were suspended on Friday for their alleged involvement in drug peddling.
The suspended police members are sub-inspector Masudul Haq, Assistant sub-inspector Neyamotullah, constable Amir Hossen and constable Yusuf of Bandar Police Station.
A team of police led by assistant superintendent of police Ajimul Hasan conducted a drive at Kamtal police camp on Thursday late night and arrested nine personnel of the camp along with 1,500 pieces of Yaba tablets.
The district superintendent of police Khandakar Muhid Uddin confirmed the incident.
