4 college students held during robbery in Jhenaidah village

The people with the cooperation of the police men have caught four young robbers from a village in Sailkupa upazila in Jhenaidah on Tuesday night.
The house master Nimai Chandra was injured when the robbers beaten up him. The police men recovered cash taka 81 thousand and some gold ornaments from their possession.
The arrested were identified as Sumon, 17, son of Kobad Ali of Taminagar village, Nahid Mallik, 17, son of Atiar Rahman Mallik, Shubho Ahmed, 18, son of Rafiqul Islam and Sumon Ali, 16, son of Nural Seikh of Bahir Royera village in same upazila.
Nimai Chandra, the house owner said, some 7 to 8 persons decamped with sword, iron hammer and other arms at about 1.00 AM on Wednesday swooped on the house and tied up the inmates with ropes. As he (Nimai Chandra) tried to prevent the robbers, they had beaten up him mercilessly.
Sailkupa police sub inspector Iqbal Ahmed said, acting on a tip off, a contingent of police rushed to the spot and managed to nab the four young men during the robbery. They recovered cash money Taka81 thousand and some gold ornaments from their possession. A case was filed with local police station in this connection.
