Twin sisters were drowned in a pond inBaishorvillage of Mirsharai Upazilaon Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Asha and Lisa, both three and half years old and daughters of Junawed Mia of the village.
Locals said the two sisters slipped into the pond while playing beside the pond. Later, they were found floating in the pond.

The deceased were identified as Jannat, 8, and Sayeed, 6, sons of Masuk Mia of the area.
The brother and sister slipped into the pond while playing beside it in the evening, said MoniandaUnion Parishad Chairman Md Kamal Bhuyan.
Later, locals recovered the bodies from the pond and rushed them toupazilahealth complex where the duty doctor declared the duo dead, he added.
