The ruling Awami League has invited four BNP leaders, including party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, to join its 21st National Council scheduled for December 20 on Friday.
Besides, BNP’s National Standing Committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed and
Mirza Abbas have been invited. A three member Al delegation led by sub-committee member Zia Uddin Ahmed Shipu reached the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office around 11:30am on Thursday with the invitation cards.
He handed over the invitation letters to BNP’s Assistant Information and Research Secretary Riaz Uddin Nosu.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader signed the invitation cards on behalf of his party.
Riaz Uddin Nosu told that he accepted the invitation cards on behalf of the four AL leaders.
The Awami League will organise its 21st National Council at Dhaka’s Suhrawardy Udyan on Friday.
