A team of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested four members of a car-smuggling gang with two private cars and two motorbikes in the city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Monday night. The arrested persons have been identified as Nadim, 35, Jamal 25, Kamal 21, and Sani, police said.
The DMP’s Deputy Commissioner (DC) and spokesman Masudur Rahman confirmed the matter and said that a special team of DB police conducted a drive in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar following a secret information and arrested them. The police also seized two cars and two motorcycles at that time.
The arrested persons are being interrogated in this connection, the police said.
