Law enforcers arrested five people with nearly 1.33 lakh yaba tablets from the Port City yesterday, according to reports from our correspondents.
In Chittagong, police arrested microbus driver Abdul Kader Matubbar with 82,000 yaba pills in Khan Dighi area under Lohagara upazila, said Additional Superintendent of Police Sohel Mahmud.
In another drive, law enforcers arrested a Green Line bus driver Jakir Hossen and his helper Mamun with 8,400 pills in Khorona area of Patiya upazila, said the ASP.
In Kazir Dewri, detectives seized 4,965 yaba pills from a parcel delivered by a courier service, said additional deputy commissioner (north), Detective Branch of Chittagong Metropolitan Police.
In yet another drive, Rab arrested Ismail, 30, driver of an oil tanker, with 36,000 yaba pills in Lohagara upazila of the district, said Mimtanur Rahaman, assistant director (media wing) of Rab-7.

Police sources said acting on secret tip off regarding a secret meeting of Jamaat -Shibir in the madrasa compound, police conducted raid there and apprehended 18 persons suspecting Jamaat- Shibir activists.
Police is quizzing them and will be freed if they are not involved with the Shibir politics.
Deputy Police Commissioner SM Mostain Hossain confirmed the news to media yesterday.
