The IO produced accused Bashir Ahmed, Principal of Trust School and College, and his accomplices Nazrul Islam, Zahidul Islam and Anisur Rahman to the court seeking a 10-day remand each.

It has been learnt that Nazrul Islam (Mitri) lent money to Bashir Ahmed and he lodged a diary with the Police Station. Reporter Sagar wrote a report about the incident, which was published in his weekly and that annoyed Bashir Ahmed.
Later, Bashir and Sagar went to the Police Station about the incident and they locked into a scuffle. While fleeing from the Police Station, Sagar died falling from the roof of the building.
