The mega tree plantation programmes as initiated by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Railway and the local legislator of Raozan constituency ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP completed on Tuesday morning despite inclement weather across the country.
People of all strata under 14 unions and one pourashava areas seen carrying saplings and khanti aimed at planting the saplings of various fruit bearing. Within one hour from 11 am to 12 noon, planted 4.50 lack saplings of different types of fruit bearing tree in 14 Union Parishads and 9 wards in Pourashava area .
Awami league and its front organisations leaders , teachers of different educational institutions, social workers, local elites, journalists irrespective of caste and creed participatedthe mega tree plantation programs. During the plantation period, MP Fazle Karim chowdhury goes round the different upazila areas to witnesss the plantation . ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP formally inaugurated the program at Raozan sadar. To make success of the program, 135 committees formed in the upazila areas in the meantime. The people of the upazila spontaneously participated the program, said our Raozan correspondent Mir Aslam. Among others, upazila chairman Ehasanul Haider chowdhury , Upazila AL Pesident Kamaluddin Ahmed, Panel Mayor Bashiruddin khan, councilor Jamiruddin Parvez, Saiful Islam chowdhury Rana, Ahsan Habib chowdhuy, Syed Abdul Jabbar sohel, Samimul Islam Samu, Sumon Dey, Malcom chakrborty were present on the occasion. Later a press confernece was arraged Upzila auditorium . Among others, Asstt.comissioner ofland, Agri offier, Education Officer, Project officer, cooperative officer, Animal Husbandy officer were present in the press meet, our correspondent said.

ABM Fazle Karim in the meantime, established two pink city in the upazila , one at Raozan sadar and another at Noapara union on Kaptai. He is also drawing the mega programs of Green city thorugh planting saplings of different types of fruit bearing and foresty timber. During the period of the local legislator , five degree colleges of sthe Upazila was equipped with IT device and a IT institute is being established .
While contacted UNO of Raozan toldthat Bhutan has achieved record of Genes Book by planting 2.5 lack saplings earlier and hoped that Raozan upazila of Bangladesh will get world record of genes book after Bhutan.

Vice chancellor of CUET Prof. Dr. Rafiqul Alam inaugurated the tree plantation program at CUET campus on Tuesday at 11 am . CUET VC in his brief deliverations hailed the initiatives of the lawmaker ABM Fazle karim chowdhury for planting of saplings which created records across the country as well as globally.
