The Blazer BD Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan (BKSP) 3rd South Asian Archery Championship begins on Saturday at BKSP ground in Savar.
Bangladesh Olympic association (BOA) Secretary General Syed Shahed Reza is expected to inaugurate the meet as the chief guest.
Four south Asian Countries – India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and host Bangladesh- will compete in the four-day meet, organised by Bangladesh Archery Federation (BAF).
A total of 63 men’s and women’s archers – recurve division 19 men’s and 15 women’s and compound division 18 men’s and 11 women’s – will compete in the championship that includes compound division, men’s singles and doubles, women’s singles and doubles and mixed doubles events.
The Blazer BD and Bangladesh and BKSP are the two sponsors of the championship.
In this regards, a press conference was held on Thursday at BOA auditorium to provide all the details of the event. BAF vice-president Anisur Rahman Dipu, BAF general secretary Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal and BKSP Director General Brigadier General M Samsur Rahman, among others, were present in the press conference.
