The speakers stressed that children are like buds, that are to bloom and splash fragrance through complete nourishment, proper environment, proper upbringings and guidance by the responsible people while inaugurating 3rd My e Kids Camp-2017. They also urged to mould up the children with the virtue of honesty, sincerity, patriotism and integrity from the very boyhood, So that they can learn how to love the country and countrymen. To familiar the new generation with ICT and foster our children in precise manner and with due occupation, technology teching institution ‘My e- Kids organized the “3rd My e Kids Camp-2017” at Daffodil International University Auditorium 71 on Saturday.
Mustafa Jobbar, President, Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) inaugurate the program as chief guest while Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil Family and Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University were present as the guest of honor and MK Aref, Chief Executive Officer of EMK Center was present as special guest. Presided over by Rahima K Mirza Rosemary, Convener of My e-Kids camp 2017, the function was also addressed among others by Prof Dr Farid A Sobhani, Dean, Human Resource Development Institute, Syed Mizanur Rahman Razu, Director of Student Affairs and Akib Khan- a student of Class Nine of International School Dhaka as a student representative.
The closing and Award giving ceremony was attended by Za E Mamun,Chief Executive Editor at ATN Bangla, Syed Ishtiaque Reza, Director News, Ekattor Television, Sajjad Sharif, Managing Editor, The Daily Prothom Alo, Mostofa Kamal, Executive Editor, The Daily Kaler Kantho, Mustafiz Shafi, Executive Editor, The Daily Samakal and Supan Roy, Founder, Managing Director at Swapnojatra. Countries renowned Young Stars Osama Bin Noor, Salman Muktadir, Rezwana Khan and Md Shofiul Alam also attend the program to inspire the participants.
BASIS President Mustafa Jabbar said that kids are not going to astray for using internet rather they becomes derailed for guardian’s irresponsibility and carelessness. Bad ingredients stayed in all the sectors of the society, even though we can’t avoid society. Internet has lots of positive impacts as well as some negative impacts too. Parents and guardians should be more careful and needs close observation while their children uses internet. Terming the children as the source of huge potentiality Mustafa Jabbar advised the guardian to grow up them with proper care and guidelines so that they may be icon in the society.
Mustafa Jabbar informed that 65 percent of our total population is juvenile which is blessing for us and they are the future generation of our country.
These juvenile people will enter into job sector after 10 or 15 years. From now, we will have to think about global demand of IT sector and to keep peace with global demand we will have to build our next generation with modern technology. Government of Bangladesh took many initiatives to build up a digital Bangladesh but government should take more initiatives for our kids to give them adequate IT knowledge. He stressed on to make IT education compulsory from the primary level.
The daylong program included ICT Fair, ICT Quiz Competition, Logo programming Competition, Computer Programming Contest, LEGO Design and Kids Entrepreneur, and many other fun events. Children and Kids of different age group got the opportunity to participate in the competition and as well as enjoy the programs. Besides competition, workshop on Child Psychology and Child Care and Parents, Teachers and students relationship were also held during the camp.
Best ‘Super Kid’ of the My e Kids Camp were selected for outstanding day long performance who were awarded a Lap Top as recognition. More than one thousand children of 50 institutions of the Dhaka City took part in the daylong program and enjoyed most.
Early in the morning a colorful Rally was brought out from the school premises and gathered to Program Venue.
Children from different schools of the capital city with their parents participated in different events and competition and enjoyed the daylong program.
