Third convocation of the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) is going to be held on Monday (March 3) at its central playground. President Abdul Hamid, also the chancellor of CUET presided over the convocation ceremony and would hand over the certificates to graduates, Masters and Phd holders.
The announcement came up with a press conference held at Chittagong Press Club, organized by CUET authority. Prof Dr Md Mashiul Huq, chief of the information and press affairs sub-committee read out the written statement and put the details here.
A total of 1,603 students will receive the formal certificates from several Boths, would be set up in the university. Among them a total of 1,564 students who completed honours, 32 students who completed Masters, four who completed post graduate diploma and three would get Phd degree. Three students would get the gold medal from the hand of the President.
Apart from the president, former adviser to the last caretaker government and also the Vice-Chancellor of the Univeristy of Asia Pacific, Dr Jamilur Reza Chowdhury would be present as the speaker of the convocation. UGC chairman Dr Abdul Mannan, CUET vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Jahangir Alam, pro vice-chancellor Prof Dr Md Rafikul Alam among others would be present in the convocation.
