Some 39 students will vie for one seat in the first year honours admission test of Dhaka University under the academic session of 2017-18.
The university authorities have sold 2,77,715 application forms for 7,123 seats, said DU Vice Chancellor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique while briefing the journalists after announcing the closure of the application process at 10:00 pm at the central admission office on Tuesday.
The VC said, some 91,143 students have applied for 1,765 seats under ‘A’ unit (Science Faculty), 33,164 for 2,363 seats under ‘B’ unit (Arts Faculty), 29,954 for 1,250 seats under ‘C’ unit (Business Studies), 1,03,282 for 1,610 seats under ‘D’ unit (Combined), 20,172 for 135 seats under ‘F’ unit (Fine Arts Faculty).
As per schedule, ‘C’ unit admission test will be held on September 15, ‘B’ unit on September 22, ‘F’ unit on September 16 & 23, while ‘A’ and ‘D’ unit admission tests on October 13, 20 respectively.
