Thirty nine players were sharing the top spot in the points table including GM Ziaur Rahman, FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman, FM Mehdi Hasan, FM Mohamman Fahad Rahman and Indian rated player Nikhil Magizhnan after the 2nd round games of the International Mother Language Day International Rating Chess tournament now being held at Sonargaon Upazila Parisad auditorium.
In the day’s 2nd round games on Wednesday, GM Zia beat Amdadul, FM Parag beat Saiful, FM Emon beat Masud, FM Fahad beat Ataur, Nasiruddin Apu beat Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan, Shilu beat FM Abdul Malek, Muttalib beat WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin, Nikhil beat Rain Sheikh.
