Some 39 of Awami League and 20 of BNP aspirants submitted their nomination papers for six seats of Khulna with a view to join the 11th National parliamentary election to be held on December 30, 2018. From Awami League , existing MP Panchanan Biswas, former MP Nonigopal Mondal, Adv Nemai Chandra Roy, Srimanto Adhikary Rahul, Adv Gloria Jharna Sarkar and Md. Hadiuzzaman Hadi submitted nomination papers for Khulna-1, Constituency. Sheikh Salahuddin Ahmed Jewel, nephew of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman submitted nomination for Khulna-2 Constituency.
Running MP and former state minister for employment Begum Monnuzan Sufian, central leader of Awami League SM Kamal Hossain, BJA Chairman Sheikh Sayed Ali, Sheikh Faruk Ahmed, Md. Ashraful Islam and Aminul Islam Munna submitted nomination papers for Khulna-3 constituency.
Present MP and former football star Abdus Salam Murshedy, former MP Molla Jalaluddin, Adv Shujit Adhikary, Md. Kamruzzaman Jamal, SM Zahidur Rahman and SM Khaled in Rashidy Sukarno, son of former MP late Mostafa Rasidy Shuja submitted nomination papers for Khulna-4, constituency. Present MP and Fisheries and Livestock Minister Narayan Chandra Chando, Sheikh Akram Hossain , Dr. Mahabubul Islam, Mostafa Sarwar, Ajoy Sarkar and Sheikh Halan Al Mamun submitted nomination papers for Khulna-5 constituency.
Current MP Adv Sheikh Nurul Haque, Dr. Moshiur Rahman who is the financial related advisor of prime Minister Shaikh Hasina, former MP advocate Sohrab Ali Sana, Gazi Mohammad Ali, Aktaruzzaman Babu, Engineer Mahbubur Rahman, Prof, Dr Md Sheikh Shahidullah, Md. Rashiduzzaman, Sheikh Monirul Islam, Abdullah Al Mahmud, Maola, Alamgir Hossain, GM Kamrul Islam, Baharul Islam and Engineer Premkumar Mondol Submitted nomination papers.
For Khulna-6 Constituency on the other hand, from Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) general secretary of Khulna district unit BNP Amir Ezaz Khan submitted nomination paper for Khulna.-1 constituency . central organizing secretary and Khulna city Unit President of BNP and former MP Md. Nazrul Islam Monju and President of Khulna district Unit, BNP Adv Shafiqul Alam Mona and former Jubodal President of Khulna city unit BNP Shafiqul Alam Tuhin submitted nomination papers for Khulna-2 constituency. Members of central executive committee of BNP Kazi Sekender Ali Dalim, former vice-President of central Chhatra Dal Rokibul Islam Bokul, Organizing Secretary of Khulna City Unit BNP Abu Nayeem Md. Fakrul Alam, Senior Joint Secretary of Khulna city Unit BNP Principal Triqul Islam, treasurer SM Arifur Rahman Mithun and Swechchhasebak Dal leader Zahid Hossain Amol submitted nomination papers for Khulna-3 constituency.
BNP’s central information technology related secretary Sharif Shah Kamal Taj and central information related secretary Azizul Bari Helal submitted nominations for Khulna-4 seat. Senior vice president of Khulna district unit BNP Dr. Gazi Abdul Haque, member of central executive committee Dr. Mamun Rahman, Dumuria Upazila BNP President and Upazila Chairman Khan Ali Monsur and Upazila General Secretary Molla Mosharaf Hossain Mafiz submitted nomination papers for Khulna-5 constituency.
Khulna District Unit President of BNP Adv SM Shafiqul Alam Mona, Vice President Moniruzzaman Montu, Koyra Upazila Unit President of BNP Adv Momrezul Islam, Paikgachcha Upazila Convener Dr Abdul Mozid, central leader of BCD Rafiqul Islam Rafiq and Organising Secretary Sheikh Shamsul Alam Pintu submitted nomination papers from BNP for Khulna-6 seat.
