Director General of Bangladesh Railway Mohd. Amjad Hossain formally inaugurated the 37th annual sports of Bangladesh Railway by releasing balloons in the air yesterday at Railway Playground Stadium.
The two -day long annual sports concluded on Friday Secretary Ministry of Railway Mohammed Firoz Salauddin will be present as Chief Guest and distributed prizes among the winners. The chief guest in his speech said that Bangladesh Railway has been working under the Ministry of Railway for transporting general people and movement of essential commodities for mass consumption over the country.
He also thanked Bangladesh Railway Sports Control Board and its officers and staff and all sportsman and woman who were participated in such a colorful sports .
Advisor of railway sports Control board & additional director General (Operation ) Habibur Rahman , General manager (East) Mokbul Ahmed , General manager (West)Md. Khairul Alam, Chief Engineer (East) Md. Shohidul Islam, Chief Commercial Manager(CCM) Sorder Shahadat Ali and Deputy Director (PR)Jobeda Akter were present on the opening ceremony.
DG said that the railway is our proud , sports personalities came from different parts of the country and gather for sports competition.
