A court here on Sunday sent 37 local leaders and activists of Swechchhasebak League to jail in a case filed under the Explosive Substances Act with Bianibazar police station.
Former vice-chairman of Bianibazar upazila and president of
Swechhasebok League upazila unit Abul Kashem was among the accused.
Sylhet Judicial Magistrate Court-2 Judge Begum Jerin Sultana passed the order rejecting their bail prayers when they surrendered before the court in the afternoon and sought bail.
