Thirty-seven people have died from coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general (administration) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), said during a briefing on Monday.
The death toll now stands at 2,965 and the death rate at 1.31 percent.
Two thousand seven hundred and seventy-two people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
With the fresh cases, the total number of positive cases so far in the country stands at 2,26,225 and the current infection rate is 21.56 percent.
The total infection rate stands at 20.12 percent, according to DGHS.
A total of 12,859 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours, Dr Nasima said.
Meanwhile, 1,801 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries stands at 1,25,683 and the recovery rate at 55.56 percent.
Five hundred and fifty people were put under isolation in the last 24 hours, Dr Nasima added during the briefing.
