36th BCS written exam results published

A total of 5,990 candidates have passed the 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) written examination.
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission published the result on Tuesday.
The successful candidates can also get their results by sending SMS to 16222 from Teletalk mobile phone sets with text ‘PSC’ followed by a space, then ’36’ another space then the registration number.
These candidates will face the viva-voce interviews segment of the test now. The viva is likely to begin on March 12, PSC’s Public Relations Officer Hafizur Rahman told The New Nation.
The candidates will vie for the 2,180 first-class officers’ posts. The will government will fill up the cadre posts through the 36th BCS examinations.
Around 2,11,326 applicants took part in the Preliminary Examinations in January 2016. Out of them, 13,830 qualified for the written examination. From September 1-6 and October 5-24 last year, they sat for the prerquisite and technical exams respectively.
