The 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation was held at the Shahid Fazlur Rahman Munshi Auditorium ,in Chittagong Port Authority yesterday.
Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan MP and Chairman of Board of Directors of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation presided over the meeting.
The board of directors approved cash dividend 10% for the shareholder. The Shipping Minister also informed the shareholder that six new ships will be purchased for Bangladesh Shipping Corporation with in shortest possible time .
Three product oil tanker and 3 bulk carrier will be purchased from Chaina. A memorendum of Understanding was also signed between BSC and CMC, Chaina under preferential and confessional loan.
The ship will be reach in Bangladesh in the middle of 2016 he added.
