SSC exams: 369 absent in Dinajpur Board

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations-2017 began yesterday peacefully in all eight districts under Dinajpur Education Board, official sources said.
Tight security measures were ensured through deploying adequate number of police forces and members of other law enforcement agencies for ensuring peaceful holding of the examinations.
According to official sources, Bangla (Compulsory) first part examinations were held peacefully today in the SSC examinations in all 252 centres of eight districts under Dinajpur Education Board.
One lakh 51 thousand 376 candidates, out of 1 lakh 51 thousand 745, took part in Bangla first paper examinations as 369 SCC examinees remained absent today under the education board.
One lakh 63 thousand 382 examinees, including 84 thousand 36 males and 79 thousand 346 females, from 2,605 secondary level educational institutions are taking part in the SSC examinations under Dinajpur Education Board this year.
Of them, one lakh 48 thousand 732 examinees are taking part as regular candidates, 14 thousand 258 as irregular candidates and 392 examinees appearing for improving the GPA scores.
Controller of Examinations of Dinajpur Education Board Md Tofazzur Rahman said the examinations were held peacefully today in all examinations centres.
A total of 256 vigilance teams, including 246 teams comprising of the teachers and 10 more comprising of the officials of the education board and retired professors visited the examination centres, he added.
Besides, the Dakhil examinees took part in the Quran Mazid and Tazbid examinations under Madrasa Board and the SSC Vocational candidates appeared in the Bengali examinations under the Technical Education Board in Rangpur division today.
In Rangpur, a total of 38 thousand 14 candidates, including 20 thousand 165 male and 17 thousand 849 female, are taking part in the SCC and equivalent examinations at 73 centres allover the district.
Of them, 29 thousand 890 candidates are taking part in the SCC examinations at 46 centres, five thousand 921 candidates in Dakhil examinations at 11 centres and two thousand 213 candidates in the SSC Vocational examinations at 13 centres.
Divisional Commissioner Kazi Hasan Ahmed and Deputy Commissioner Rahat Anwar with other officials today visited different examination centres in Rangpur city and expressed satisfaction over the peaceful atmosphere..
