Customs Intelligence on Friday recovered import restricted 360 cartons of cigarettes from a passenger at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA).
The USA 303 brand cigarettes were about 72,000 pieces worth Tk 22 lakh only.
Tipped-off, Customs launched a drive and checked his baggage and found the cigarettes. The passenger identified as Md Khorshedul Alam arrived from Dubai, UAE.
A case has been filed against him under Customs Law.
