36 rivers register rise, 40 fall

Water levels in 36 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 40 stations recorded fall.
Among the 83 monitored water level stations, three river stations have been registered steady while all rivers are flowing below their respective danger marks, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Monday.
The Brahmaputra-Jamuna and the Padma are in rising trend while the Ganges and the Meghna are in falling trend. Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the past 24 hours ending at 6 am on Monday.
