Water levels in 36 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 40 stations recorded fall.
Among the 83 monitored water level stations, water levels at five monitored river stations have remained steady and all monitored river stations are flowing below respective danger levels, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Friday.
The Jamuna, the Ganges-Padma rivers are in rising trend while the Brahmaputra and the Meghna rivers are in falling trend.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Friday.
A total of 170 mm were recorded at Lorergarh, 134 mm at Hobiganj, 96mm at Sylhet, 95 mm at Durgapur, 76mm at Manu Rly Br, 75mm at Sunamganj and 40mm at Jamalpur.
