Jhenaidah Correspondent :Jhenidah police arrested 38 people, including two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami, in a special drive from different parts of the district on various charges on Tuesday.Additional Superintendent of Police Azbahar Ali Shekh said police conducted a drive in different places of the district from Monday night to Tuesday morning and arrested them on various charges.Among the arrestees, there were two Jamaat men, added the ASP.UNB from Natore adds: Police in a drive arrested 34 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir from different places of the district early yesterday on various charges, including violence.Abdul Khalek Molla, ameer of Gurudaspur upazila unit of Jamaat, and Amirul Islam, president of Lalpur upazila unit of Shibir, were among the arrestees.Besides, the law enforcers arrested Officer-in-charge of Gurudaspur Police Station Dilip Kumar Das said Abdul Khalek Molla was arrested from his house at Chanchkoir Puranpara in Gurudaspur upazila in the morning.33 other Jamaat-Shibir men, including Amirul, were arrested in different places of Lalpur upazila in the morning.
