Customs officials have seized 36 gold bars worth around Tk 20 million from an aircraft at Dhaka’s Shahjalal International Airport. The raid was conducted on Monday morning after receiving a tip-off, Md Kamruzzaman, assistant commissioner of Customs said. The gold bars weighing more than 4kg were kept inside the toilet and under a seat of the flight coming from Dubai, he said. Nobody has yet been arrested over the seizure, the official said.
