Police arrested at least 36 people from different areas in the district in special drives from Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning.
Iftekhar Alam, Senior Assistant Police Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, said police launched drives in different areas under four police stations of the city and arrested them.
Among the arrestees, 15 were arrested from Boalia Police Station, eight from Rajpara, eight from Motihar, one from Shah Makhdum and four from different areas.
Of them, 18 were warranted accused while 10 arrested with drug and eight arrested for various offenses. Police claimed that they recovered 286 pieces of Yaba pills, 100 bottles of phensedyl and four grams of heroin.
