350 poultry birds roasted alive in Morrelganj

Atleast 350 poultry birds of a poultry farm belonging to one Ruhul Amin Khan of Etimkhana bazar under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat were roasted alive when it caught fire from an adjacent grocery shop belonging to the same person in the early hours of Thursday.
Affected Ruhul Amin Khan told the newsmen, I closed my shop at 10 pm on Wednesday and left the same for my house.
At about 4 am I came to know that my poultry and adjacent shop were gutted. At dead of night on seeing the flame of fire local people rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after a long fighting for one hour. But in spite of that cash Tk 25 thousand, 350 poultry birds, rice, pulses and all others belongings of the shop and poultry farm were completely burnt to ashes.
The loss of fire is estimated at Tk.8 lakh. As a result the owner of the poultry farm and grocery shop was thrown into an utter distress.
 But the cause of fire could not be ascertained till the writing of this report.
