The district community policing at a function at the local police lines on Tuesday distributed 200 blankets among cold-hit people.
Sources concerned said the community policing undertook the blanket distribution programme for mitigating sufferings of the cold-hit poor people. Police Super Sarder Rakibul Islam distributed the blankets among the poor people.
Additional Police Super (circle) Jahidul Islam, Assistant Police Super Kamruzzaman, District Community Policing General Secretary Kazi Hafizur Rahman, among others, were present on the occasion. Underprivileged children need support for flourishing talents
BSS from Panchagarh adds: Debiganj Upazila Parishad distributed 150 blankets among students of Lutfor Rahman High School located in a former enclave of the upazila of the district on Monday.
Local sources said the blanket distribution programme aimed at mitigating sufferings of the cold-hit poor students was held on the school premises.
Debiganj Upazila Parishad Chairman Md Hasnat Zaman Chowdhury distributed the blankets among the poor students. Headmaster of the school Mohammad Nur Kutub, guardians and local people were present during distribution of the blankets.
