Sylhet Correspondent :Thirty five teachers including Muhammad Zafar Iqbal resigned from different administrative posts of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) demanding removal of Vice-Chancellor Prof Aminul Haque Bhuiyan .They submitted the resignation letters to Registrar Ishfaqul Hossain at 10:45am as per pre-scheduled announcement.After submitting the resignations, pro-Awami League teachers’ forum leaders Dr Syed Shamsul Alam and Professor Dr Mustakur Rahman told reporters, “We have submitted the resignations as teachers are unwilling to work under VC Prof Aminul Haque Bhuiyan.”Next program will be announced later, however, classes will continue as per schedule, they added.Dr Zafar Iqbal said, “Other teachers were hurt for VC’s misbehavior with teachers of Physics and Geography and Environmental Engineering (GEE) Departments. I am also hurt, so took decision to resign.”Earlier, Chairmen of those departments alleged that Applied Science faculty dean Prof Jahir Bin Alam misbehaved with 18 teachers of the departments on Sunday but VC didn’t take any initiatives to their complaint.
