Negligence of authority alleged: 35 students fail to appear at HSC exam in Jhenidah

Some 35 HSC examinees of Mahtab Uddin Degree College under Kaliganj upazila could not sit for the HSC examination on the first day due to utter negligence of the college authority.
Deprived students alleged that they filled forms at Tk 2590 before the fixed date but due to faults of the college authority Jessore BISE could not issue our admit card.
College sources said, 696 students were expected to sit for the HSC exam from three groups but unfortunately 35 students could not appear at the exam due to mistake of the college authority.
Of the deprived students four are regular students and 31 are irregular students.
Nayem Hossain told this correspondent sobbing that his father is a poor farmer. Through great hardship he continued his study but he could not appear at the exam. How he will compensate this loss?
Shuvradeb Bhadra, Arup Kumar and Bipul Kumar echoed the same sentiment.
Sajib Das a casual student of the college said, he filled up the form for improvement but no admit card has been issued.
Acting Principal Abdul Mozid of Mahtab Uddin Degree college said, the list of the deprived students had not been included at the taught list of board due to mistake of the college authority. We will bear the expenses of the deprived students next year, he added.
UNO Manoar Hossain Mollah of Kaliganj upazila said, he has heard the matter but nobody has submitted any allegation to him. If he gets any written allegation he will take action in this regard.
Chairman Md. Alauddin Mia of Jessore BISE said, only college authority is responsible for that. He will look in to the matter and take drastic action in this regard.
