Around 35 devotees were injured as the roof of a tin-shed house collapsed on them at the Biswa Ijtema ground at Tongi on Friday afternoon.
Local MP Zahid Ahsan Russel who visited the spot said the roof of the shabby house fell on the devotees around 2:15pm while they were staying in it after offering Juma prayers.
He also said the accident occurred as the house had not been repaired for long.
The injured were admitted to Tongi Government Hospital and local clinics.
