UNB, Chittagong :
A court here on Thursday granted bail to 35 local leaders of BNP, including its city unit president Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, in four cases filed during hartal and blockade enforced by BNP-led 18-party ahead of the 10th parliamentary polls.
Of them, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury secured ad-interim bail till February 24 in three cases out of four while and general secretary Dr. M Shahadat Hossain in two cases out of three. Chittagong metropolitan magistrate Nure Alam Bhuyan and Mashiur Rahman passed the orders in separate cases.
The court also directed to Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Dr. M Shahadat Hossain to appear before the court on February 16 in another case filed with Kotwali Police Station.
