The 34th death anniversary of Mazeda Begum, wife of celebrated journalist Tofazzal Hossain Manik Mia, was observed in Indurkani upazila of Pirojpur district on Saturday.
On the occasion, a discussion meeting was held at the Indurkani Protibandhi School. It was followed by a doa mahfil.
Dilruba Milan Nahar, Vice-Chairman of the upazila Parishad and President of School Managing Committee, presided over the programme, while UNO Hossain Mohamud Al Mujahid attended as the chief guest.
Batazor Alim Madrasa’s Arabic Lecturer Moulana Mostaiz Billah conducted the doa mahfil.
Ashadul Islam Shimul, Head Master of Indurkani Protibandhi School, Upazila Jatiya Party (JP) Member-Secretary Md. Shahin Hawlader, Pattashi Union JP President Enamul Kabir, School Managing Committee Member Ayesha Sultana and Social Worker Moniruzzaman Khan were present, among others.
