Around 349 policemen will be honoured with the Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) and President Police Medal (PPM) during the Police Week-2019 scheduled to be held on January 4 to 8.
But only 182 police officials got the BPM and PPM in the last year.
Of them, 40 cops officials were selected for the BPM and 62 police personnel have been nominated for PPM while 104 cops were achieved BPM-Service) and 143 were also nominated for the PPM-Service.
They were selected for the medals to their role in anti-militancy operations and fighting terrorism and outstanding service.
A notification signed by Deputy Secretary Farzana Jesmin on Tuesday confirmed the information about the list of medals winners.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would award medals to police and Rapid Action Batallion (RAB) members at Razarbagh Police Lines in the capital on January 4.
The Premier, Home Minister, Home Ministry Secretary and other high profile personality of the government and administration will give necessary instruction and announcement to cops personnel.
The Police members also will raise their demands to the authorities concerned during the five -day program that will end on January 8.
