34 Bangladeshi companies take part in Guangdong Maritime Silk Road Expo

A total of 34 Bangladeshi companies, including eight small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), are taking part in the four-day trade show ‘2018 Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo’ here.
Vice Governor of Guangdong Province Chen Liangxian on Thursday inaugurated the fair at a function at Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center in Houjie of the Dongguan city under the province.
Commercial Counsellor of the Bangladesh Embassy in China M Mahfuzul Alam Khan took part at the inaugural function.
After the inaugural ceremony, the commercial counsellor visited the Bangladesh pavilion.
During the time, he said the trade relation between Bangladesh and China is very good and it will be further extended in future.
“The demand of Bangladeshi products in Chinese market is very encouraging. Bangladeshi entrepreneurs can avail the advantage,” he added.
He suggested the Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to focus on exploring the Chinese market rather than retail sale.
In the expo, manufacturers from different countries are exhibiting various products on cotton, denim, drapery and tailoring, embroidery and lace, jacquard, knitted fabrics, linen and hemp, prints, shirting, silk, silky aspects and functional fabrics, trims and accessories.
