A total of 33 officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police (equivalent to Assistant Inspector General or Deputy Commissioner) have been promoted to the rank of Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police.
Department of Public Safety of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a gazette notification in this regard on Wednesday with immediate effect.
The prompted officers are—Md Rezaul Karim, Special Superintendent of Police (SSP) Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Dhaka, Md Harun-Ar Rashid, Shakh Nazmul Alam, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Gazi Mohammad Mozammel Haq, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Police Headquarters (PHQs), Md Ashrafuzzaman, DC of DMP, AZM Nafiul Islam, SSP, Special Branch (SB), Dhaka, Mohammad Abul Fayej, DC of DMP, SM Aktaruzzaman, AIG, PHQs, Md Imam Hossein, DC of DMP, Amena Begum, SP of Nasingdi district, Md Hayder Ali Khan, SP of Special Police Battalion (SPBn), Dhaka, Md Monirul Islam, AIG in PHQs, Md Azad Mia, SSP, SB, Dhaka, Md Mahbubur Rahman Bhuyan, AIG, PHQs and Begum Atika Islam, DC, DMP.
