In the fifth phase, elections will be held tomorrow in 32 unions of greater Chittagong including 24 unions of Anwara, Boalkhali and Chandnaish in Chittagong.
All kinds of campaigns of the candidates have been stopped in the constituency from 12 o’clock last night. Voting will continue from 8 am to 4 pm on Wednesday.
In the interest of fair elections, ballot papers will be sent to every polling station from 6 am on polling day. Adequate security measures have been taken by the Election Commission and the administration for a fair election.
Concerned parties say most of the centers in Anwara, Chandnaish and Boalkhali are at risk.
The rebels are fighting hard. That is why there is a fear among the voters in the midst of so many preparations for a fair election.
Each polling station will be guarded by a police officer with weapons, four constables with weapons, one Ansar with weapons, one APC Ansar with weapons, eight men and seven women members of the integrated Ansar VDP.
The mobile striking force led by the executive magistrate and the striking force of the RAB will be in charge of maintaining law and order in each union.
