Police lodged two separate cases before the Kotwali thana and Chowkbazar thana in city accusing 32 Shibir activists for hurling cocktail and hand bombs to police men in city’s Dewan Bazar area on Saturday night.
Sub Inspector of Kotwali thana Al Amin and the sub inspector of Chowkbzar thana Raihan lodged these two separate cases respectively before the respective police station as plaintiffs at about midnight of saturday. Police inspector of Kotwali thana(investigation) Md. Nezamuddin and the officer in-charge of Chowkbzar thana Atik Ahmed Chowdhury said the cased filed under section of Explosives Act and Special Power Act.
These accused were presented before the CMM court and court ordered them to send to jail custody. Police sources said after attack on police in front of Didar market in Chandanpura area , police conducted raid in the nearby Darul Ulum Madrasha and detained 35 Shibir activists .
After quizzing, three students released and 32 detained with shown arrest in these cases, sources said.
