Thirty two leaders and activists of Islami Chhattra Shibir of Rajshahi University Unit including its president were sued on the charge of attacking two Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leaders of the university unit on the campus.
RU unit BCL Vice President Atikur Rahman filed the two cases separately with Motihar thana police station on Saturday night.
The cases have been filed naming thirty two Shibir leaders and activists including Shibir RU unit president Ashraful Alam Emon and 10/15 unnamed, said Alamgir Hossain, Officer-In-Charge of Motihar thana.
Earlier, on Tuesday morning, Shibir cadres allegedly severed the ankle of Abdullah Al Masud, assistant secretary and cut the tendons of Tagar Mohammad Saleh, scholarship affairs secretary of BCL RU unit in front of Ziaur Rahman hall on campus.
While asking about filing cases after four days of the incident, BCL RU unit vice president Atikur Rahman told that they were busy in hospital for the treatment of the duo.
