The police, in its crackdown on opposition party men, detained a total of 32 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party and its front organization and its ally Jamaat-e- Islami in overnight drives across the district.
Of the detained, 25 are BNP, 6 Jamaat- e- Islami and one Islami Chhatra Shibir, said Jewel Imran, assistant superintendent of police, Jessore.
