32.5 lakh to appear for PSC, Ebtedayee exams Sunday

UNB, Dhaka :Some 32,54,514 students are expected to appear for the Primary School Certificate (PSC) and Ebtedayee examinations this year, scheduled to begin on Sunday.The examinations will be held at 7,052 centres across the country, while at eight centres abroad.Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman said this on Wednesday at a press briefing at his ministry’s conference room on the preparations for the country’s largest pubic examination.The question papers have already been sent tothe upazila level and kept in the custody of respective police stations, said the minister adding that the question papers will be handed over to the secretaries of all the examination centres on the examination days under strictest surveillance.He urged all the officials and teachers concerned to make sure that the examinations are held properly.Mostafizur Rahman also urged all to remain alert against the quarters that are used to resorting to fraudulence in the name of leaking question papers.Among the examinees this year, 29,49,063 will appear for the PSC examinations while 3,05,451 for the Ebtedayee examinations. Students in both the categories will appear for examination on six subjects that carry 600 marks in total. The examinations will end on November 29.
