A total of 31 educational institutions in Chandpur district have been MPO- enlisted by the Education Ministry and so, the teachers and the staff of these institutions and also the students and guardians are rejoicing over it and they all are expressing sincere thanks and gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Education Minister.
This enlistment in the MPOs has fulfilled their long cherished hopes and aspirations , ending their long waiting. It has also enhanced their social prestige.
Of the enlisted institutions, six are high schools, eight are junior high schools, three are High School and Colleges, two are HSC colleges, one HSC BM course College and one Vocational college, and 10 madrasas.
Contacted, Headmaster Md Shafiullah Sarker, School Managing Committee President Aziz Faruk Babu and teachers and staffs of Omar Ali High School in Raj Rajeswar -a remote char area under Chandpur Sadar have told this correspondent that they all are so happy and grateful that their language fails to express their joys and gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Education Minister . The school was washed away 9 times since 2001 by Meghna and Padma rivers’ devastating erosions making 600 students’ education and teachers’ and staffs’ monthly salaries quite uncertain. Now the students and teachers are happy beyond measures.
Contacted, the same joys and gratitude were expressed by the teachers of Eashanbala MJS High School in remote char area in Haimchar Upazila, Shashiali High School in Faridganj, Lamchhori High School and Poyali KB M High School in Matlab Dakhshin Upazila and Fatikkhira SA Girls’ High School in Shahrasti Upazila.
In great joy, the students and teachers of Sholla High School and College brought out a joy procession in and around their institution. Ten madrasas were MPO-enlisted in the district.
Three schools & colleges have been MPO- enlisted in Chandpur, Faridganj and Kochua. For a long time they were not getting MPOs and so were in great frustration.
They are Al Amin Academy (a leading institution being run by Jamaat-e- Islami Bangladesh ) since after independence in Chandpur town, Sholla High School & College in Faridganj and MA Khalek Memorial School & College in Kochua Upazila.
Two HSC Colleges are MPO enlisted. They are Dr Mansuruddin Mohila College ,Kochua Upazila and , Nowri Adarsha College in Matlab Uttar Upazila.
HSC level Business Management Section at Hajiganj Degree College and Vocational Section at Teguria High School in Kochua Upazila have been MPO- enlisted. Eight Junior High Schools and ten madrasas of Dakhil and Alim level have also been MPO-enlisted.
