Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a daylong drive on Monday filed 3,077 cases on charges of traffic rule violation.
Traffic division in their simultaneous drives on the city streets also realised over Taka 22.34 lakh as fine, said an official release.
As many as 328 cases were lodged for driving on the wrong sides, 67 other cases for using hydraulic horn, nine for using hotter and beckon light and 13 others for using tinted glass.
Some 83 cases, including 51 video cases, were lodged against drivers of different modes of vehicles on charges of talking over mobile phone while they were driving.
