Environment and Forest Minister Anwar Hossain Manju has distributed 3,000 blankets among the cold-hit people of Pirojpur district on Sunday.
The minister distributed the blankets among the poor, homeless, underprivileged and severe cold-affecting people of Bhandaria, Kawkhali and Zianagar upazilas of the district.
Anwar Hossain Manju distributed the blankets in presence of chairmen, UP members and elites of the respective upazilas.
The distribution ceremonies were organised by the Dusta Kalyan Sangstha.
Dupchanchia Correspondent adds: Bangladesh Muktijoddaya Sangsad Bogra sadar upazila command has distributed 60 quilts among the brave son of the country at its office in Bogra town recently. The Dhaka Mercantile Co-operative Bank, Bogra branch has sponsored in the attempt of quilt distribution. In the distribution, 60 quilts have been among 60 Freedom Fighters one piece per head. The Manager of the bank, Bogra branch Tonima Nahid, Bangladesh Muktijoddaya Sangsad Bogra district Commander Ruhul Amin Bablu and sadar upazila Commander Md. Abdul Kader were present in the programme.
